ECMWF overlays Close
ECMWF IFS contours over Meteociel North Atlantic imagery. White: mean sea-level pressure; gold: 500 hPa heights. Both layers can be displayed together.
Mean sea-level pressure · 4 hPa isobars
500 hPa geopotential height · 6 dam contours
Contour opacity 85%
Overlays support North Atlantic IR, water vapour 6.3 µm and TrueColor archive frames. Alignment is inferred from coastline checks, not official map metadata. Other products, latest images and source animations retain their controls but show no model overlay.
IR + water vapour Atlantic TrueColor Refresh model data
The nearest 3-hourly model field follows each satellite frame, with a maximum difference of 90 minutes. The run, valid time and offset are shown on the image. Contours are forecasts, not observations; timestamps are not interpolated. Model fields refresh through the site publishing workflow. Use Refresh model data to check for an updated bundle. Outside the matching time window contours disappear.
